Our Story
I grew up in Virginia, where family dinners always ended with homemade desserts. That’s where my love for sweet treats began. Over the years, cooking became a constant in my life—whether making meals for family, friends, or the kids I babysat.
After moving to Pittsburgh, I worked in several local restaurants that broadened my passion for food. I eventually started selling biscotti at the Bellevue Farmer’s Market, which quickly grew into a full-time baking business. When my ginger snaps became a crowd favorite, I shifted my focus to cookies—and Good L’Oven was born.
In 2014, we opened our first shop in Bellevue, followed by our Ross Township location in 2017. Today, we specialize in cookies but also offer breakfast, lunch, and catering. Every recipe is made with care, real butter, and quality ingredients from local distributors.
Good L’Oven has always been a family business. My husband, Bill, manages the books and marketing, while my daughter, Olivia, grew up helping in the kitchen.
We prepare our cookies and specials fresh every day…like my mother did for us. My goal is to bring back a little bit of “good l’oven” and fond memories from your own childhood each time you visit us. Isn’t that what good food is about?
